Meet the Team

We have 4 doctors at Mariemont Surgery. Our doctors are currently taking on new patients. We are a private billing clinic. Please find below a list of our GP’s and their special interests.

Dr Jadwiga Kapusta and Dr Glenyce Russell have retired from Mariemont Surgery. We wish them well in the next chapter of their life.

Dr. Diane Phillips

Diane Phillips graduated from Monash University. She started Mariemont Surgery in 1981 on its original site in Mariemont Ave. Diane is interested in all aspects of general practice, and especially diabetes, heart disease and women’s health. She is involved in the teaching of Monash University medical students and complements her work in Wantirna with short term locums in rural Australia, mostly in remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory

Dr. Jeanette Greer

Graduated from University of Melbourne in 1985, and then completed the Family Medicine Program in 1991. I have worked  at a number of General Practice locations in Melbourne and joined Mariemont Surgery in 2007. I enjoy the wide variety of medicine in General Practice.

Dr. Maia Hou

Dr. Maia Hou (Hons), Dip. Paeds, FRACGP, Cert. Sexual & Reproductive Health (FPA). Dr. Hou is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and has been working in general practice in Victoria since 1995. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a focus on preventative care. She is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Doctors for the Environment Australia.

Dr. Lalith Baduraliya

Dr. Lalith Baduraliya

Lalith graduated with MBBS in 2000 and did his GP training in Tasmania. He is a fellow of the RACGP and has worked in rural Australia as well as metropolitan hospitals and general practice.

He is an experienced clinical examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). He is a writer and reviewer of Check magazine (published by RACGP) for the education of GPs and trainees and has been teaching medical students and trainee GPs for over a decade.

He is well experienced in all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in child health, skin cancers (excision and biopsy), travel medicine, geriatrics, osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and stroke.

He has done research on carpel tunnel syndrome, occupational lung disease, haemorrhoids, asthma and thyroid disease.

Lalith conducts regular health education sessions for the general public with SBS and has worked as a volunteer doctor locally as well as internationally.

Lalith has been working at Mariemont surgery since 2014.
